All hospital admissions must pre-authorised by Q. A. Care Plus. 

All emergency, urgent and elective procedures/treatments must be pre-authorised by the dedicated call centre which is staffed by trained nursing staff. All elective procedures must be authorised at least 48 hours prior to admission and all emergency treatments must be authorised on the first working day after the admission.

Failure to pre-authorise will result in a co-payment of R2 000 per admission and a R1 000 co-payment per admission for late authorization, i.e. not within 48 hours.
